We promote good practices and work with the regional innovation ecosystem parties for the exploitation and transfer of knowledge.
Who We Are
The Innovation Center of Attica Region (I.C.A.R.) is part of the Priority Axis 01, "Strengthening the Mechanisms and Investments of the Attica Region's SMEs in Research and Innovation", co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) that will also support financially the first three years of the Center’s operation.
The Innovation Center reinforces the networking between the R&I entities, academic/research institutions, businesses and the existing business clusters of the Region. At the same time, it supports the decision-making processes of the Attica Region bodies (Regional Governor, Regional Council, Committees, etc.) by providing documented input.
Our Services

We ensure the monitoring and documentation of the development of Research and Innovation (R&I) activity in Attica, the monitoring of international related good practices, the comparative assessment of R&I activities in the Attica region and the emergence of good practices, through the conduct of targeted surveys, researches and studies.

We work on policy proposals in collaboration with researchers and stakeholders. We develop and operate or oversee digital platforms and information and collaboration networks of Attica's stakeholders on issues, research, technological development and innovation.

We develop an annual plan focused ON the three areas of expertise (Blue, Creative and Sustainable Economy) in collaboration with the R&T institutions and private companies of Attica.

We organize networking and awareness-raising processes and actions, user training actions, as well as publicity campaigns, to widen the socio-economic influence and adoption of R&I results.
